From Tallinn to Helsinki to Southeast Asia
I was born in the Soviet Union in ´83, in Tallinn (Estonia), grew up in Finland. I spent some time after getting my CIDESCO Diploma traveling in Europe. First for fun, then as a sales trainer and as a head trainer for professional skincare brands, before I opened my first brick-and-mortar business.
In Estonia, I was introduced to Natinuel, a medspa brand offering high-tech treatments and skincare products. I brought it to the Finnish market and decided to use it to make myself known. I did so. With website content. Built the client base, documented the results, and even trained other practitioners.
Every client I ever had in Helsinki found me through content I created online. I had a free website, 3 free blogs on Blogspot and a Facebook page. I did not know that what I was doing was called SEO at the time. I just knew it worked, brought me tons of clients and visibility without spending even one euro.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that my content still ranks in the top positions for the main keywords. I was even more baffled to see that the content gets AI citations and competes with big, active companies. Those sites have been abandoned almost a decade ago! That’s what I call real evergreen content, a legacy.

The holiday I didn’t return from
In January 2018, I went for a 3-week holiday in Thailand. I had been thinking about living in some tropical country and working online for years, so I wanted to go see it first.
When I arrived, it was clear. I wasn’t on a holiday, I was making my dream a reality. I missed my flight back on purpose, I felt I was where I should be: forever summer, nice people, Buddhist culture, turquoise water and white sand beaches. This was a complete factory reset to my brain, so far from what I had experienced. I just stayed.
I spent the next year building a freelance writing and translation career from scratch, while traveling across Southeast Asia. I didn’t have a plan; I figured it out while I kept going. I found freelancing platforms, years later made LinkedIn, and so I travelled, lived and (L)earned.
At some point, I felt the need to feel at home, and I landed in Cambodia, where I’ve been for several years. To make things complete, the Universe sent my son into my life to have a family of my own. The circle is closed.
Writing and SEO
The switch from esthetician to an SEO person was clearly meant to be. I had been doing the work for a long time, content strategy, keyword research, ranking pages. I was running a beauty business and needed clients and that got me tons of clients without ever spending money on paid ads. Formalising it just meant learning the vocabulary for what I already understood.
I write for work, and I write for fun. Blog posts, personal essays, brand stories, technical documentation, case studies. I love the process of taking a complicated subject and making it clear. That applies whether I am writing about the challenges of being a solo mommy, peptides packed in nanocapsules, iGaming compliance, or blockchain technology.
Growth and learning are never-ending, and I have acquired quite a stack of certifications and knowledge on the way here. Over 15 years of SEO! My new career path is not so new anymore, and it’s evolving, growing, and expanding. I love it!
Currently, I specialise mainly in regulated high-stakes industries: iGaming, fintech, biotech, and crypto. These are fields where content accuracy is non-negotiable, where E-E-A-T matters, and where sloppy AI copy creates real risk. My content is Panda and Penguin-proofed. Beauty is obvi still a big part of my work and I also take on projects outside my core subjects when the case is interesting and the client values quality.
If you want someone who will tell you what you need, do the work, and not disappear after the invoice, that person is me. I tell it how it is and how it should be and how your site won’t suffer when Google rolls out another core update. It’s not hacks, folks. Trust me. And no, AI is not taking my job.
I have outlasted partners, markets, and my own doubt. The doubt put up the best fight.
